My New Design Wall...

I have always wanted a design wall but the price tag has always stopped me.
Well I'm lucky enough to have a Handy Husband
who was only too happy to help me make one,
OK, he probably did more than I did but I had to
 take action shots, :)
It's not the super gorgeous but it will keep me happy.
This is a photo heavy blog but it might help you build your own!!!

Two pieces MDF laying on Wadding
Staple Gun very Handy...
Separation...
Ready for Hinges...
Hinge placement...

Now outside, this is the back of the design wall
Spray adhesive...
Adding more wadding to the back...
Now neat and tidy when I close the design wall...
Finished product!!!!
A big Thank You to my Hubby for making this for me,
now all the projects that I haven't started because
I don't want to crawl around on the floor I can Do...

that's brilliant!
I too, want one, but the cost is just too much of an issue...great idea!
(I have a mini one, about 1 metre square, just an old photo pic from the 70s OMG that's showing the age!, covered with wadding too)
cheers Julz

Fantastic Linda and thank you for showing your steps to making it. I too cannot handle the floor any longer and desperately need one of these. Your hubby's camo pants are hilarious. Exactly the same get up my DH wears when he's making stuff. Just a quick question, is cotton batting the better covering for stickability??

I love it! And it looks so easy to do. Accent on looks :)) I wonder how my husband feels about this :)) Got go ask :)))
