Blogger's Quilt Festival - Spring 2010

Thanks Amy for Hosting The Blogger's Quilt Festival

This is one of the First Quilts I made.
It may look familiar to all who read my Blog as it's the first thing you see when logging on.

I had always loved the movement of Bargello Quilts, and I wanted to do one in Bright Kaffee Fassett Fabrics.

It took 20 Jelly Roll strips and once I got my head around sewing them into tubes ,the Quilt was simple to put together.

I Quilted it with an E2E Pattern that has Flowers and Butterflys on it.
This Quilt taught me not to be daunted by anything and to just Give It a go.

I love it Linda- When I first saw bargello quilts, I wasn't sure that I even liked them but I have made 3 and have patterns for a few more wonderful designs - I have a list of quilts in my head and more bargello quilts are near the top of it.

I love your Kaffe Fassett bargello. I have a little collection of his fabrics- they are so vibrant and I love color( I suspect that you do too). Thanks for sharing your lovely quilt.
Enjoy the festival.

Nice and colorful. A quilter can not go wrong with Kaffe Fassett fabrics! I love your use of the purple fabric on the borders.

Lovely colorful quilt. It's been awhile since I did a Bargello, but those tubes make it so much easier. I certainly like the boldness of your quilt. Great start into quilting!
