Swooning Along Happily...

Here are my Swoon Blocks 3 & 4....Woohoo

Love...
I'm really pleased how these have turned out
Here they are together

With sashing...
Full Disclosure time:
My sashing in the centre is 1/4 inch out, don't ask how it happened because the quilt went together perfectly?!?

When this type of things happen ,
I normally say that's my Amish mistake for this Quilt,
after all nothing is perfect in nature,
so my Quilts shouldn't be either...right?!?

Does it make you feel better knowing that mistakes happen to all of us,
or do you think that there too much perfection and not enough whoopsies shared out there in blog land???
I would love to know your answer...

I've been Sunkissed...

This weekend has been very productive...
This is a customers quilt made in Sunkissed Fabric
I stippled all over and between the little flags,

It's such a Cute Quilt!!!

Seeing this one finished I dragged out my
Sunkissed Quilt with the Applique Owl on it, that I made months ago and decided to free-motion allover...

Close ups...

I tried to mimic some of the Fabric in my Design...

I used the yummy spot for the backing...

Here's my 2nd Swoon Block,
I did a little each night after work this week , It's amazing what you can achieve in small blocks of time!

I'm loving the Red and Aqua together!

Now I'm off to collapse on the couch and
watch the Australian Open Tennis.

Swooning Along...

When I saw that Katy had started a Swoon Along, I jumped on Board, because quite frankly if I didn't
I don't think I would have ever made the Quilt!

During Fat Quarter Shop's 12 Day of Christmas Sale I bought the
Grey Ruby Micro Dot  for the Background Fabric to match the
Ruby Fat Quarter bundle and a bit of Bliss I had stashed,
so I had everything here just waiting, just no inclination to start the quilt...

One Block Down...

I'm only doing a Four Block Quilt,
as the original 9 blocks make a Quilt 80" Square
which is way too big for a couch throw!

Now for something non Quiltly...
We have a Friend that comes and happily eats our Grass,
He is regularly on our Front lawn only disappearing if someone walks up the steet. It's lovely having Nature so close...
As you can see it hasn't taken long for the grass to turn from green to brown, now we just need some rain!

Having insomnia can be good sometimes....

Yesterday I was visiting Oh Frannson! blog and re-found a quilt I wanted to make,
Last time I found this I had no Printer ink, and no cash to replace it so
I didn't bother buying the download.
Yesterday I was fully inked up which is lucky because it's 17 pages long!!!

I  decided on my fabric which is Chrysalis by Sanae for Moda, and started cutting the 3 1/2 inch square for the centre blocks, so when I got up at the ridiculous time of 5am I already had a head start!
Elizabeth's patterns are sooooo good, everything always goes together so easily.

I have to buy some thread before I can quilt this, so it's going onto my pile for now.

I have finished quilting My Terrain Quilt and have attached the binding,
I have only hand sewn 1/2 of one side but I couldn't resist sharing a couple of Photos.

Here's one with the binding finished so it will give you an idea of how it will look...

I had originally thought I would bind it in the Orange,
but changed to the Dark Purple to Frame it better.

Now I'm off to do some more hand sewing,
