Urban Stitches was Fantastic!!!!!

Urban Stitches 2011...
Last Weekend I went to Urban Stitches in Melbourne.
If you ever get to go to the event do it!
I had a fabulous time.

I bought home a fantastic goodie bag including full kits of 3 projects one from each designer.

This is Leanne Beasley’s Project and my Favourite!

This is the stitchery that is on the sketchbook folder
designed by Melanie Dekker of Melly and Me.
These are the first two blocks in an upcoming
block of the month by Rosalie Quinlan.

We even got to see the Vignette Quilt and it is so pretty.
Sorry I didn’t take more photos to share;
I didn’t have my camera with me only my phone, so please forgive the poor quality!

Why do I come home from these things with a list of new projects a mile long!

Another Retreat! I'm so Excited

I’ve been busy Quilting Quilts not making them...

Remember this?

I quilted this in a Dusty Pink with a Butterfly and Leaves E2E.

The next one is my Quilt,
which I made using, the Lazy Angle Ruler.
I had heaps of fun making this Quilt there are so many
 possibilities with this ruler.

I should have taken a photo before it hit the Gammill
but I so excited the Machine was free to do one of my Quilts.

This weekend I'm off to Urban Stitches in Melbourne... Check out this Link to see a sneak peek of one of the projects we will be working on.

Scrappy Terrain...

Last weekend I went to a Retreat with some Quilting Buddies and had a ball!
I had such a good time I forgot to take any photos so I can only show you I achieved for the weekend.
This started life as a Terrain layer cake.

I matched two layer cake pieces together that contrasted with each other, then I cut each layer cake into a 3.5" and a 6.5" strips and swapped with the matching  piece.

I did this with all 40 pieces.
I re-matched two contrasting layer cake pieces again, then turned each block 180 degrees, and cut these in Half,
and once again I swapped with the other matching piece.

When happy with the layout I sewed them together.
The end result is this scrappy look quilt that went together so Quickly.
It is a Fabulous size Quilt but I'm going to wait for the Terrain Yardage to be released and will put some borders on it.
Then It will be the perfect snuggling size!
My next project was a little slower!
I did a test block of Swoon before I cut into my stash of Fabric. I'm thinking of now doing it in my DS Fabric, but I will wait for the next release due in Spotlight stores at the end of the month!
