One whole metre of pink Ladybugs from Tula Pinks Flutterby range.

Destined never to be used!

 

A Quilt in Colour...

I've been waiting for the sun to come out to take these photos
 but by the time I get outside the sun has gone
so after a couple of tries I gave up and relied on my Flash!

The Fabric is A Stitch in Colour by Malka Dubrawsky by Moda.
This is a Quilt made using a stack and slash method.
I used 28 Fat 1/8ths, which I just Ironed stacked and the slash...

Once they were all together I then trimmed them down for a bit of uniformity!
Finished block size: 8 1/2" x 18 1/2"

It is the perfect size for a couch throw,
I'm thinking this is one for the husband not a flower in sight!!!!

Playing with Skittles...

Sorry, I haven’t been blogging lately,
 I have been flat out working on other peoples quilts...

But this morning I decided that today would be all about me!!!

Remember my Fandango Quilt made from the Kate Conklin Pattern off the rails from Last year, Well this is her little sister Skittles...

I have made her out of St Ives by Sarah Fielke for Lecien,

 I was lucky enough to get a Fat Quarter bundle for Christmas (as well as a Woodland Bundle too, but I can’t bring myself to cut that up just yet...)

Super Quick and easy quilt, took 3 hours from thought process to completion. Now I just have to wait for the backing to turn up so I can quilt it.

I have also finished my Come what may quilt...Pattern by Jaybird, made in a variety of Kate Spain Fabrics for Moda. Love this pattern too; have already decided on fabric for my next one...

I quilted in a bright Blue thread a perfect match for the Backing...

My Sew, Laugh, Love Stitchery I got at Urban Stitched last year has been crying out to be started , this is what I have done whilst watching TV lately.

It's a start... Long way to go 

Now I'm off to see what else I can play with...

Sweet Garden made in Vintage Modern...

I have been crazy busy this week, two quilt tops and My Swoon finished and a customer quilt done and dusted.

You may remember this from last week when I posted 1/3 of the Quilt...

2/3 Quilt...

One piece...Yay!

This is my other top finished this week, its Jaybird Quilt’s Come What May...and I must say that this literally went together in Hours, sooooo simple and Quick and ecstatic with the result.

I want to load one of these and get into it before my next Customer Quilt arrives next week, can I beat the deadline?!?

Which one would you like to see finished,
 I’m doing an all-over pattern on both...

Here is my nearly finish Swoon,

I’m hand quilting around the blocks so if I don’t show you this today you may not see it for 6 months, that being how long it will take to finish.

 My hands do not like the hand quilting and I can only do short bursts at a time...

That’s why I love my Long-arm...

Vintage Modern and Some Swoon.....

I have Cut up my Vintage Modern Layer Cake and
have started making Carolina Patchwork's 'Sweet Garden' Pattern

This is 1/3 of the Quilt so Quite a way to go...
But loving the results so Far!!

The Solid is Kona Slate if your interested...
In other news...

I'm getting closer to finishing my Swoon Quilt.
When I decided to pebble the borders,
I neglected to factor in the amount of time it takes to do!
 Very Slow Going...But in saying that I love the result...

I have really enjoyed Quilting this quilt... so much so I have loaded mine on to the Machine this morning.

Road Trip....

Yesterday I went on a road trip with my Mum to Ballarat 

 to go to the trunk show of Cinderberry Stitches  at Ballarat Patchwork.

For those of you that have never been to Ballarat Patchwork

 it's has a bright and cheery feel the minute you step in the door,

Emma who owns the shop has a great eye for colours and design.

I was in the store 2 minutes and had these 2 bundles in my hot hand!!!!

I had told myself that I was not going to fall in

 Love with Flea Market Fancy but alas I did (in a record 30 seconds mind you)

And this is the sublime Curious Nature by Parson Grey...

I couldn't decide so I got both!
I kinow me Bad, but I'm trying to pep up the economy...
So this is a Photo of my complete haul.
