Amy Butler Disappearing Nine Patch

This is my Amy Butler "Daisy Chain" Disappearing Nine Patch Quilt.

It is the same pattern as the Christmas Table Topper from P.S. I Quilt on Moda Bake Shop the only difference is the small blocks in the sashing.
This is such an easy pattern to make, and very effective depending on which way you turn the blocks.
All of my nine patches had a white centre.
This was a good way to stretch my fabric stash, and it an tied in the white sashing nicely
I have Quilted it with a Paisley Type E2E Pattern.
This is the Second 9P quilt I have made and I don't think it will be my last somehow.
Now I'm off to the Sewing Room,

Love It or Hate It?

This quilt is one I have had a Love It and Hate It relationship since making. When I completed the top I loved it,but the longer it sat in the corner of the room my love slowly disappeared.

Everytime the Gammill was empty and I had no customers work,I would pick up the quilt look at it and just as quickly put it back down. Finally I thought 'just load it',Well this has been the slowest project ever, once again I would walk into the room say yuck and walk back out!

I was silly enough to go for a tight loopy pattern, but I'm very happy with the quilting especially the yellow thread.

So It's finally finished,(quilting that is!)
Binding may never happen!

Quilting Days

Yesterday I had one of those days that just makes you smile!
BFF Bev came over for a sewing day.
We had a full day of quilting, eating and therapy!
Bev made a disappearing nine patch for a friends daughter in gorgeous blues, yellows and pinks.

This is what I made, It's from a layer cake and a jelly roll and it is a huge quilt!
68" x 89" are it's measurements at the moment, still unsure whether to add borders or not!

Sewing Days are good for the soul,we should all do them more often.
Bev and I have booked in to go to the Daylesford Experience.
Designers include Jodie From Ric Rac Blog, and Melissa from Melly & Me.
I am so excited about going, check out their blogs for more info if you are interested in coming along.

Moda Camera Bag

Well today I treated myself to a new digital camera,as my husband doesn't like to share his:(

So when I arrived home I set about making a camera bag.

Having lots of Moda ribbons I thought that they would be perfect for the ties.

It's just a drawstring bag with a pocket on the inside to carry extra batteries and a card, now I have no excuse for not taking photos of all my quilts!
