Scrappy Terrain...

Last weekend I went to a Retreat with some Quilting Buddies and had a ball!
I had such a good time I forgot to take any photos so I can only show you I achieved for the weekend.
This started life as a Terrain layer cake.

I matched two layer cake pieces together that contrasted with each other, then I cut each layer cake into a 3.5" and a 6.5" strips and swapped with the matching  piece.

I did this with all 40 pieces.
I re-matched two contrasting layer cake pieces again, then turned each block 180 degrees, and cut these in Half,
and once again I swapped with the other matching piece.

When happy with the layout I sewed them together.
The end result is this scrappy look quilt that went together so Quickly.
It is a Fabulous size Quilt but I'm going to wait for the Terrain Yardage to be released and will put some borders on it.
Then It will be the perfect snuggling size!
My next project was a little slower!
I did a test block of Swoon before I cut into my stash of Fabric. I'm thinking of now doing it in my DS Fabric, but I will wait for the next release due in Spotlight stores at the end of the month!

New BOM...

I've signed myself up for a block of the month, but this time I have been smart and decided to do it raw edge applique.
It is still going to take a long time to finish but no where near the time it would take to do it by hand.
It's called Berries and Bluebirds designed by Gail Pan.

I'm halfway on the First Block and the second has just arrived so I better get a move on!

Summer in Central Park...

The sun is shining as it’s the perfect afternoon to take some photos.

This is my smaller lap version of my Summer Garden quilt
that is in Issue 6 of Fat Quarterly e-zine Available Here.

I have made this from ½ a layer cake and Yardage. It measures 50” Square so it makes a good size for a Couch Throw.

I used all my favourite colours from Central Park by Kate Spain.

Followers of my blog would know I have a girl crush on her and all of her Fabrics...he he.

Lastly here is my Finished Kaleidoscope Quilt... I’m still lovin’ the Orange!

Quilting well underway...

My Kaleidoscope Quilt has made it
to the Gammill and is nearly finished.
I have done a medium stipple in all the orange diamonds,
undecided what to do with the Wild Thyme Blocks as yet.

August deadline is creeping up, but I’m sure it will make it, speaking of Deadlines My (That's right I said My) pattern will be published at the end of the month and the wait will be over and I can show it to you!

Sooo Exciting!
