It's a Start!

Each evening I sit and do a few Hexagons, They are great to do while watching TV. 

(No Concentration needed)

When they reached the top of the box,

 I counted them and have done just over 300.

To my dismay when you lay them out it doesn't seem much.

Only about 800 to go,Lucky I really enjoy doing them!

Finishing the first novel and then having to start on the second...

Folded Fabric

When I woke this morning the first thing I thought was, I am spending the day doing something for me!

One Hunky Dory Layer Cake later I have started the Folded Star Quilt on Moda Bake Shop.

They are so much fun and really easy!

Daylesford Craft Experience 2010

I am Happy to Report that the Daylesford Craft Experience was Awesome!!!!!
There were 100 ladies attending on the First day at Peppers Convention Centre in Hepburn The Spa Centre of Victoria.

After being welcomed we were introduced to the Designers, Melaine from Melly and Me, Jodie from Ric Rac, and Annette whose Japanese inspired cross stitches were Beautiful!

My Haul for the Day....These were the kits I purchased, 2 Bucket Kits and the 2 Bags Made out of sugar Fabric...

The goodie bag contained Seven unreleased patterns especially design for the Weekend....



The day was very laid back with a lot of talking and laughter....

Jodie demonstrated the Gecco Stamping machine which she had made the postcards out of for us to stitch....

This is the awesome one I got back....

If any of you get the opportunity to go to next year's event I can highly recommend it

The food was of a very high Quality and we seemed to always be eating.

I know the Day was good as I didn't look at my Watch once and it was over before I knew it.

Hexagons

I must stop reading other people's blogs,I get so excited by things I see I must go and start new projects straight away, hence 1" Hexagons.
I have only done around 150 but I'm hooked!!!!!

The first weekend in July I'm attending Daylesford Craft Experience.
With our admittance Tickets we were given a blank linen postcard and given Instructions to Stitch something ARGH!!!.
Until I had started the Hexagons I had no clue what do with the postcard.
Enter 1/2" hexagons, I had been reading this blog and was very interested with what little miss shabby was doing with 1/4" hexies (she could be a bit loopy!). I printed off some 1/4" hexagon pattern pieces. I have now Decided that I do not have that sort of patience and went to the 1/2" size.
Oh so cute!!!!!!
This is when my postcard actually looked like it would be more than blank.

Another thing that I have sucessfully finished are my 101 siggy blocks, On Monday they go on their big trip to America!

Hopefully they will make It before the 1st July Deadline.

I used one of my Favorite fabrics from Woodland Bloom.

Another reason I used it was that hopefully I will be able to pick out my Blocks in everyone's quilts when they are posted in the flicker group :)
