Granny Shrug

I found this on Kootoyoo Blog,Kristy has done some Awesome Instructions for this Super Easy Shrug.

I have never been into Knitting, Preferring Crochet as it grows so quick and you don't have to count too much, so this is right up my Ally.

I went through my cupboard looking for wool and found some 12ply Bendigo Woollen Mills wool in Rustic Elm Green.

I only had one ball so I thought I can start one and if it doesn't work I can unpick and have lost nothing.

Luckily I live in Bendigo and I went down to the Mill to get another 2 balls!

So I think I will work on the shrug today, Even though I should be working on some of my UFO's

Blogger's Quilt Festival - Spring 2010

Thanks Amy for Hosting The Blogger's Quilt Festival

This is one of the First Quilts I made.
It may look familiar to all who read my Blog as it's the first thing you see when logging on.

I had always loved the movement of Bargello Quilts, and I wanted to do one in Bright Kaffee Fassett Fabrics.

It took 20 Jelly Roll strips and once I got my head around sewing them into tubes ,the Quilt was simple to put together.

I Quilted it with an E2E Pattern that has Flowers and Butterflys on it.
This Quilt taught me not to be daunted by anything and to just Give It a go.

Super Quick Quilt

Kate Dixon of One Flew Over designed this quilt for Fat Quarterly Emagazine.
I have Quilted it with Pink Thread in Large swirls.
This is a very Quick and Easy Quilt to put together, easily done in a day!
Everyone loves Quilts like that.

I never have unmatched colours on the backs of my quilts, so my decision to put a Teal backing was so out of the ordinary but it actually works.

This Fabric was bought a few years back, but I have never found fabric to match and I didn't want to cut it up so I added Plain Teal and used for this backing.

I will be putting Dark Purple as the binding, which I still haven't purchased so it give me a good excuse to go shopping!
