I Love Verna!!!!!

Last week I decided to cut up my Verna Layer Cake (Ouch!)
When I found Moose on the Porch's Pattern on Moda Bakeshop I knew that I wanted to make that particular Quilt, so after patting the Layer Cake for long enough I finally made the cut!

Konda's quilt was a massive 82" so I removed one row down and one row across.
With doing this it is still a respectable 69" which is perfect to snuggle up with now that Winter is setting in here in OZ!
I have loaded it onto the Gammill and I'm doing a Large Floral E2E design, I'm half way through Quilting and will share more Photos when Finished.

I have also recieved my Fantastic Quilt Labels.

They were made by Anna of Lilla Lotta on Etsy
When I discovered Anna on ESTY I found her to be Very Obilging with all of my requests.
(I think I was a pain in the bum actually!)
Check out her site as she has preprinted tape ready to purchase or like me you can request a certain design, I uploaded one of my Business flyers and Anna was able to work with that!
I have been working on a few other projects and I will share these soon,

Back from The Quilt Show

Well I had a Blast at the Quilt show!
My booty of goodies was small but it is Glorious, Look at that awesome fabric I found.
The Pattern is from Emma Jansen of Ballarat Patchwork

The Quilts were all the "covergirls" from Previous Quilter's Companion Magazines so it was good to relive the Quilts that inspired me to start Quilting.
Here are a couple of Quilts that I liked.

Lest We Forget

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget

Has this ever happened to you?

Today for the first time ever I broke a blade in half!

Cutting 1 1/2" strips for my next project (sneak peak below) the blade suddenly snapped, luckily the only damage was the blade and the strip of fabric, which was luckily the White Sashing.

This line of fabric is Whimsy By Michael Millar Isn't it divine!
This is my Block 4 for the Jelly Roll Quilt Along,Yeah I know it's put together wrong, but I'm not fussed, I think it still looks good.

That's what you get when you don't concentrate and just sit down and sew!

I haven't started the Hexagons yet,I ran out of white thread so mercy dash to the shops.
I took my mum along for the dash, and we did the normal thing of walking round looking at everything, wanting to buy lots.
Then went home had a cuppa and had 'show and tell' with what mum has been working on,I will take my camera around and get some snaps as her work is amazing especially her embroidery.

That's where I get my Love of sewing from (and being a perfectionist)
I will post the hexagons when done,
